Summer Activity #26

26. Do the laundry.

I know that chores should always be a part of a child’s growth and development.  As much as possible, I try to give my boys chores that they will find (somewhat) enjoyable so they won’t be bored or irritated about doing them.  Some of these chores are: turning off lights or fans or tv when they leave the room, fixing their toys in their room and putting them in the proper baskets, refilling the drinking bottles and pitchers in the ref with purified water, babysitting Enzo, washing the dishes, throwing the trash and sweeping their room.  Recently, I have added a new chore to their list:  folding the laundry.   I let them fold their clothes and neatly arrange them in the drawers in their room.  So far, they seem to enjoy the activity so am making this a permanent chore for them.  Hopefully, they will perfect folding their clothes because they need a lot of practice. 😀
