Banana Recipes for Kids

Banana Dippers


  • Bananas – cut in chunks
  • colored sugars
  • cinnamon sugar
  • peanut butter
  • chopped nuts
  • coconut
  • ice cream sprinkles
  • crushed cookies
  • 8 oz chocolate chips


1. Peel the bananas and slice into several pieces.

2. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and cook on high until melted – about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

3. Dip the banana slices in the chocolate, then roll them in other ingredients as desired


Banjo’s Banana Split


  • Knife and cutting board
  • Spoon
  • Bowl


  • 1/3 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/3 cup low-fat blueberry yogurt
  • 1/3 cup low-fat pineapple yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup strawberries


  1. Peel banana and cut in half.
  2. Slice each half down the middle and place in bowl.
  3. Once parents have cut up the strawberries and banana, kids can scoop the yogurt, place on the sliced banana, and sprinkle with strawberry bits.
  4. For a cruchy topping add granola to the top.
  5. Serve frozen.
