Making Music

I recently found a wonderful site for Nikki that teaches music. It’s http://www.sfskids.org. It’s from the San Francisco Symphony and I think it’s a great website. It teaches the basics in music in an easy and fun way. Nikki is hooked. Everytime I use the laptop he would ask if I’m planning to take long on it because he wants to “study his music”. Isn’t that nice?
Here are some of the things he learned from the site:

1. different notes
2. tempo
3. music basics
4. musical terminologies
5. classical music
6. composers
7. musical instruments
8. playing along

Nikki still hasn’t browsed through the entire site yet but he’s very interested. And I’m glad. I already gave him an intro to the basics (staff, measures, notes, fingering on the piano, etc.) but it’s nice to see him studying on his own too. 🙂
